CKD Capital operates a fleet of deep drilling and water well rigs and associated equipment that are maintained to a very high standard. New generation rigs are being introduced to adopt the new technologies now available with improved safety and environmental features. CKD Capital has recently acquired two 2000 HP rigs principally for geothermal drilling.
For long term projects, the rig fleet will continue to be expanded by new bespoke rigs including equipment suitable for remote operations in the international market, rigs designed and built to Western European standards, which fully conform to the latest emission regulations and rigs suitable for pad drilling for development projects including skidding or walking facilities together with the latest automation systems.
The CKD Capital operational bases in the UK, East Africa and South and Central America include comprehensive workshops, warehouse facilities, spare parts and yard storage including facilities for equipment overhaul, refurbishment and maintenance, new equipment assembly and component fabrication.
Supplementary equipment that can be supplied include air packages, kill pumps, cementing equipment, casing running equipment and casing jacks as well as aluminium alloy drill pipe for certain applications using small rigs.
CKD Capital prides itself in achieving some of the lowest downtime statistics in the industry through comprehensive preventative maintenance and refurbishment programmes, spares holdings and experienced on site mechanics and electricians. Downtime records of less than 0.5% have been recorded in remote parts of Africa, for example.
